I offer individual and group counseling for children (6+), adolescents, and young adults. I am available for in-office sessions in Raleigh, and nature based and EAP sessions on a farm in Wendell. There is also a “farm office” available if necessary.
Regardless of where we meet, my goal is to offer a safe place for you to explore yourself and your life, identify what is working and what isn’t, and develop new skills to free yourself of the patterns that are keeping you from being the best you.
On the Farm
I attempt to maintain a casual yet professional environment and hope you feel comfortable in this natural setting. You may have your session inside the barn, a pasture, a small pen, or a large arena. Please be mindful of the weather (we will meet regardless of the outside temperature) and that you will be working with and around large animals. Please wear boots or other closed-toed shoes for foot protection. Bug spray and sun protection are very helpful in the warmer months.
Please feel free to bring water, especially on hot days. There is a refrigerator in the barn where you can store drinks or a snack.
Appointments are held on a working horse farm, JRF Equestrian. It is possible that you will encounter JRF clients during your time at the farm. All JRF clients understand to respect the privacy of our sessions.
In the Office
I am available for counseling sessions in the office of Life Quality Resources in Raleigh. Therapeutic techniques and goals in the office are similar to those experienced on the farm and can include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused, Family Systems, art, play, movement, and biofeedback. Natural Lifemanship's Trauma Informed Therapy is based on universally applied principles which work in the office as well as the farm.
Life Quality Resources offers Nexalin Technology for the treatment of Anxiety, Depression, and Insomnia. FOCUS assessments and Play Attention therapy are available for individuals with attentional difficulties or diagnosed ADHD.
